Heater Cap Heated Gutters
Self-regulating heat cable installed in the gutter and on the gutter cap — hidden, and integrated with a standard Turtle Shell Gutter Protection install.
Heater Cap is the same stone-coated protection with a self-regulating heat cable engineered to be installed in the gutter and on the gutter cap. When turned on the wire is producing 8 watts per foot as the temperature drops the wire could produce up to 16 watts per foot. Compared with the zig-zag cables stapled to many roofs, Heater Cap is hidden transfers heat through its patented cap , and will not degrade your curb appeal. It integrates seamlessly with a standard Turtle Shell Gutter Protection install, so you can protect the north-facing and valley sections most prone to ice dams without heating the entire roof.

I contracted Justin and Turtle Shell in the late summer of 2024 to replace old gutters. He performed a thorough assessment in person and provided clear options. His pricing was a bit higher overall than other estimates, but he conveyed confidence in the quality of work to be expected. Additionally, the proprietary Turtle Shell seamless gutter is a superior gutter system vs standard gutters or the generic gutters with screens attached. I don't want to be constantly cleaning out gutters throughout the non-winter months. I've gone up the latter since installation and his proprietary gutters work. Plus, he offers lifetime free cleaning if, for whatever reason, the gutters do become clogged with debris. Working with Justin and his team was an easy experience overall. He was responsive throughout the project and his team did quality work in about a week's time. He quickly came out to a address a couple of questions that I had about the final install.
